This new tool is incredibly easy to use. We’ve added a “Layout Tools” section directly into the event settings. The process is simple.
First, you create your new event. Then, instead of opening the builder, you just follow these steps:
- Find the “Layout Tools” section in the settings metabox.
- From the dropdown, select the existing event you want to copy the layout from.
- Click the “Apply Layout” button.
Instantly, the entire seating plan from the source event is copied into the builder for your new event. All your sections, tables, seat rows, and labels are perfectly preserved. This is a game-changer for anyone managing recurring events or a single venue. In fact, many business productivity experts, like those at Asana, recommend templating repetitive work to boost efficiency. This tool brings that powerful concept directly to your event setup.
A Flexible Tool for All Your Events
We designed this feature to be as flexible as your event schedule. It works seamlessly across all event types that our plugin supports.
For example, you can easily:
- Copy a layout from a standard event to a The Events Calendar event.
- Duplicate a chart from an Events Manager event to your own custom event type.
- Use one “master layout” event as a template for all new events.
